Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Student Named a 2018 Newman Civic Fellow
Joseph Mason uses his voice to be a public problem solver by leading the discussion about food security issues facing his fellow classmates at Âé¶¹´«Ã½. Mason helped establish a campus food pantry at the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Metro Campus and participated in a community Sustainability Conference in an effort to unify both campus and local communities to reduce food insecurity.

New Program by Âé¶¹´«Ã½ and NSU will Transform Educational Experience for Broken Arrow Students
A new dual credit program offers Broken Arrow High School students the opportunity to graduate high school with a diploma and earn an associate degree from Âé¶¹´«Ã½. Then, the student has the option to seamlessly transfer to Northeast State University to complete a bachelor’s degree.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Named National Bellwether Award Finalist
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ has been named a finalist for a national Bellwether award and will compete for the prestigious award in January 2018. The selection as a finalist is a special recognition for the work Âé¶¹´«Ã½ has done in less than two years as part of the Pathways Project, a national initiative sponsored by American Association of Community College and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Corrections Education Program Sees Largest Graduation Ceremony
Cody Zimmer is one of 57 individuals at Dick Conner Correctional Center in Hominy, Oklahoma graduating with a certificate or degree from Âé¶¹´«Ã½. The commencement ceremony was held on Thursday, July 20 and was the largest group since the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Corrections Education program started in 2007 as a partnership between the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Dick Conner Correctional Center and Âé¶¹´«Ã½.
