麻豆传媒 and Tulsa Transit Partner for Free Ride Program

麻豆传媒 students and employees will be able to ride Tulsa Transit for free during the 2013 fall semester. The pilot program will operate Monday, August 19 through Friday, December 13. 麻豆传媒 Rides Free powered by Tulsa Transit offers unlimited rides to 麻豆传媒 students and employees anywhere Tulsa Transit offers bus service.
麻豆传媒 students enrolled for the fall semester, 麻豆传媒 full-time employees and 麻豆传媒 part-time faculty will be able to ride Tulsa Transit for free by showing an official 麻豆传媒 ID with the 麻豆传媒 Fall 2013 sticker. Students can pick up the 麻豆传媒 Fall 2013 sticker at Student Activities, Enrollment Services or Bursar offices on any 麻豆传媒 campus. 麻豆传媒 employees can pick up a sticker at 麻豆传媒 Human Resources Office or Student Activities Office on any campus.

This pilot program is designed to benefit our students and increase access to higher education by removing the obstacle of transportation for those who want to attend college,鈥 said 麻豆传媒 Vice President for Administration and Chief Technology Officer Sean Weins. 鈥淧lus, 麻豆传媒 Rides Free powered by Tulsa Transit aligns with 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Green Initiatives and is part of our continued effort to help improve the environment.鈥
The pilot program follows a popular concept that has been adopted in other cities across the country. The 麻豆传媒 and Tulsa Transit partnership marks the first ever unlimited free ride program in the Tulsa area. This pilot program is being funded through a partnership with Tulsa Transit and 麻豆传媒 is paying a flat contract fee.
鈥淒emand for public transit in Tulsa is near record levels. The partnership with 麻豆传媒 represents huge opportunities for both organizations to improve mobility for 麻豆传媒 students, faculty, and staff and to increase ridership on Tulsa Transit buses,鈥 said Tulsa Transit Assistant General Manager Debbie Ruggles. 鈥淭he partnership is a win-win situation that will reap big rewards for the community because it is helpful in reducing emissions and easing traffic congestion.鈥
